Most recently, CPAC was approached to bring 2010 Olympic coverage to Francophone Canadians across the country. As a national bilingual public service channel, we want to play our part in ensuring all Canadians receive full access to these historic events in their official language.
CPAC will therefore be providing, on a national basis, French-language coverage of the Olympic Games effective 19:00 (ET), Friday, February 12th, 2010. This coverage, which has been authorized by the CRTC, will allow Vs French-language Olympic programming to replace CPACs traditional programming for the duration of the games which end March 1st.
During this period, CPACs regularly scheduled programming will however continue to be available on line at www.cpac.ca.
Please note this programming change will not affect the receipt of the channel in any way and receivers will not have to be adjusted before or after the Games. CPACs signal will simply contain French-language Olympic programming during this time.
